Resolved Question: What are the dangers of these supplements?
I would just like to know the dangers of these particular supplements:
1. Acai
http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1625&prodid=915
2. Kelp (I've heard it can give thyroid problems although there it says it is good for the thyroid)
http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=35&prodid=181
3. Apple Cider Vinegar (or would the actual liquid be better?)
http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=113&prodid=598
They are from Holland & Barrett, a reputable health store and I would just like to know what the dangers are.
Also, you should know that I eat very healthily and exercise well so please don't lecture me about that ;) I would just like to know the problems with these particular supplements.
Thank you
Resolved Question: Lipodrene with 25mg Ephedra?
I'm 17 years old, very mature for my age, very smart when it comes to dealing with my health. Totally clean, I don't drink, smoke, etc. Very involved in school.
Female, About 5'10, used to play softball so I have a lot of muscle, yet I do have quite a bit of fat that I've been trying to lose. I weigh somewhere around 185.
I work at a Smoothie Factory. We sell the diet supplement Lipodrene with 25mg Ephedra (Yellow). A guy that I worked with told me that it was basically crack deguised as a diet supplement, lol. I've been researching the supplement, and I have yet to read something that relates to that statement. All I have read about is how well it works!
Have you taken this supplement before?
What were the side effects you experienced if any?
What were your results?
How long did it take to see the results?
What kind of diet/excersise plan do you follow? Do you think it had anything to do with the result you saw while taking the supplement?
Also, one of the biggest concerns I have is whether or not this supplement would show up on a random drug test. At my school, we have a random drug test about once a month, and for some reason I am usually on the list. At least last year I was. But like I said, I am very involved, so, because of the Ephedra, if this supplement is going to show up on a drug test, I would rather not take the chance in taking it and testing positive for drug use and losing all my leadership positions.
Please help if you can! Thank you!
If not, what is your opinion on the supplement?

Additional Details
Alright for the ones who answered, thanks, and I probably should have mentioned this...I work out almost everyday, whether it be running, dancing, strength training, playing a sport, spinning, yoga, pilates, you name it I do it. I actually DO eat healthy, I don't eat junk food, and I know the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle. Thank you for the sarcastic answers. I'm wondering about the SUPPLEMENT. My mom has a thyroid issue, my dad has diabetes. I'm the healthiest one in my family. For some reason, nothing I do seems to be working, so I'm looking for a supplement for assistance. If someone could tell me about the SUPPLEMENT itself, not my lifestyle, that would be great, thanks. :)
Resolved Question: Question about Shin Conditioning?
Is this a good way for me to condition my shins (I found it on the internet.):
BTW I'm 14 and haven't yet started any shin conditioning before.
INSTEAD OF READING IT ALL, HERE'S THE WEBSITE ("anonymous" posted this idea)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You will need Methyl-Salicylate (found in liniments), heavy-bag/Thai pad, cold compress, 600 mg calcium + vitamin D supplements.
1. Apply Methyl-Salicylate generously to your shins and warm them up by going for a 20 min run. MS causes local vascodilation and good blood flow. You can also substitute with ditdajow.
2. Kick Thai Pads, or a banana bag till your shins (not the skin or muscle above it) are slightly sore. Doing this in the sun is recommended. (Promotes vitamin D production for efficient calcium absorption.) Approximately 10 minutes of hard kicking on a regular pad surface should be sufficient for a beginner. Use your judgement.
3. Sit down. Point your toes, flex your calves: repeat 10 times each leg. Apply more Methyl-Salicylate and massage the shins and surrounding muscles deeply. Attend to localised knots/bumps if you feel any and try to break them up. The blood carries calcium, protein and all the good stuff which actually thickens up the shins.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 at least 4 times a day.
5. Apply an ice pack to both shins for the next 20-30 minutes. Massage and apply ice-pack repeatedly for as often you wish upto the next 48 hours. Do not kick the bag for at least the next day.
5. Take a 600 mg Calcium + vitamin D supplement. Else, drink a lot of milk and water. Eat fish, chew its bones, eat them.
6. Having taken *at least* one day off, repeat all the steps above.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Questions about the above shin conditioning technique:
*What is Methyl-Salicylate?
*What does point your toes mean?
*What if I find "localised bumps/knots", what am I to do?
*Is it necessary to do it 4 times a day?, I have not yet started any shin conditioning before.
*What are liniments?
*Why do I need to put an ice pack on my shins afterward, is this necessary?
*Instead of a Heavy bag can I just use a normal sized punching bag?
*Instead of taking a 600mg calcium and Vitamin D supplement, can I just drink a glass of "Ribena" (1 glass is 50% recommended daily calcium intake, and could the Vitamin D supplement be replaced by a "inner health" plus tablet or a "Beroca" or something?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks heaps, in advance.

Resolved Question: Best combination of vitamins/supplements?
Ok so there are hundreds of vitamins/supplements/health products are that great for your body on the market today (multi-vitamins, fish oil, whey protein, green tea, etc.). Generally, I know what most of them do. However, I'm not really sure which combination to take. I'm a female, in my early 20's, moderately active, and I eat nutritiously. I take a women's multi-vitamin (Opti-Woman), Metamucil Fiber supplement, 1 wheat grass shot a day, and 1 glass of green tea a day. Does this sound like a good combination? Should I add or subtract anything? Thanks for your help!
Resolved Question: Testosterone Supplements/Pills?
Yes. I Know. Probably All Of You Will Say. DON'T TAKE IT, IT IS DANGEROUS, ILLEGAL, BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, And ETC...
So Why Is GNC (Or Probably Other Health Store) Still Selling Testosterone Supplements?
1. What Do They Exactly Do To A Man?
2. What Are The Benefits?
3. Should A Man Who Seem Skinny, Short, Nerdy, Low-Energy, Girly-Sounding, Small-Penis, And/Or Low Confidence Take It?
